Nightingale: founding the journal of the Data Visualization Society

When the Data Visualization Society launched in 2019, I founded its journal, Nightingale: first on Medium, then as its own website, and from 2022 as a print magazine. I edited it until 2024. It was built to give the community’s ideas a bigger audience: history, how-tos, interviews, personal stories, mostly written and run by volunteers.

By the time I stepped back it had more than 6 million views, and the print magazine had subscribers in 59 countries.
