“Making data too human to ignore”: a profile in McKinsey Alumni News
McKinsey’s alumni news published a profile that traces the line from my years at McKinsey (2016–2024) to a newsstand on the 6 train platform.
It starts with the cow chart we made for COP26, the Firm History Map for McKinsey’s centennial, the emotions archive of how people felt during the pandemic, and the data sculptures for the Future of New York summit. It also covers the work since I left: the Data Vandals taking data into physical spaces, and JFA doing the same for Fortune 500 clients and a global sporting event.
The article ends with the idea that continues to motivate us every day: data becomes a bridge to connect people.
